Planning – Scope of Work
- Site selection
- Prepare a detailed scope of the planning application based on feedback from the LPA to the Pre-App and EIA Screening/Scoping applications.
- Finalize budget for planning surveys and investigations after obtaining quotes from various consultants.
- Appoint, instruct and manage the consultants for surveys and investigations.
- Conduct public consultation in co-ordination with the PR consultant.
- Finalize the project layout based on the results of the surveys and investigations
- Preparing a site-specific community engagement strategy document
- Preparation and submission of planning application
- Coordination with case officer and the various statutory consultees to provide responses to get as few objections to the scheme as possible.
- Present the case for planning approval at the LPA Committee Meeting
- Discharge of Planning Conditions
Delivery
- Tyler Hill Consulting successfully obtained planning approval for phase 1 of Norchard Solar Farm in November 2024
- Responded to queries on landscape and visual impact and highway safety. Delivered additional landscape planting within the site and to an adjacent public right of way, and in respect of biodiversity; 33.4% habitat units, and 13.32% linear units, equating to a significant biodiversity net gain for this site
- This project will provide 8.6 GWh renewable energy each year, avoiding 1,719 tonnes of CO2 every year
